What is a good painter’s model?

Yesterday was yet another lovely session with Sima, who is actually a good friend of my current student. She ha s agreed to pose in exchange for the sketches we do not want to keep for ourselves.Very generous of her. There is something very fascinating in the human figure that no still-life can compete with. When the model is good, the whole  painting process  is full of magic. What is a good model you may ask? In my opinion, a good model is someone who’s character is inspiring and at the same time can sit in comfort for extended periods of time. Preferably, also someone who has an appreciation of the creative process that feels like contributing to the creation of Art. Sima, has all this and more and we feel fortunate to have her as our model. Thank you Sima.
