As you can see I wasn’t very active in the past few months. It is mainly because I still haven’t finished the conception of this blog and I am still unsure about its structure in relationship to the site that I am building. The whole issue of blog versus conventional site, seems to be an unresolved problem for me and reading all that controversy, makes it even harder to decide in what direction to go. Blog or Static Website, that is the question. I have a hard time to find a way to make an informed decision since there are advantages to each system .The wise thing seems to be combining the advantages of both. Here is what Rich Brooks has to say about the difference between conventional site and a blog:
” in general I say that your Web site is your portfolio; it’s the best of what you have to offer and displays your business as you want the world to see it. A blog, on the other hand, is more an ongoing conversation you have with prospects and clients. It can help you establish yourself as an expert, post information quickly, and differentiate yourself from the competition…at least right now.”
Then there is this burnout problem which is really something I would like to avoid and find a pace of writing that would not interfere with my need to maintain my regular offline creativity.
But perhaps I am worrying a little prematurely.
